Joel Gennari
Founder & DesignerJoel Gennari is an Emmy-winning costume designer who spent decades creating characters before turning his attention to jackets.
Drawing inspiration from storytelling, architecture, texture, mythology, and the occasional beautiful bad decision, he designs statement jackets for people who have no interest in looking like everyone else.
When he’s not sketching new designs, he’s writing novels, making art, and attempting to convince his partner, Lain, that the ever-growing fabric collection is, in fact, a business necessity.

Co-Founder & Operations DirectorJoel dreams up the impossible. Lain figures out how to make it happen.
As Co-Founder and Director of Operations, Lain oversees everything from production and logistics to customer experience, ensuring every Gennari jacket is as thoughtfully executed as it was designed.
After years building teams, solving complex operational challenges, and creating exceptional customer experiences, he found the perfect counterpart to Joel’s creative process. Where Joel asks, “What if?”, Lain asks, “How do we build it?”
Together, they make ideas wearable.
